We are working on a date for our next Bird Walk!
Join us for a Bird Walk
Thank you to the Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island for coming during Octopalooza!
They have left some information for us to give out: their contact number 7 days a week, how you can become a volunteer, and how you can support them by purchasing a RI Wildlife Clinic design license plate!
If you find an injured or abandoned wild animal in Rhode Island, what can you do? The Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island is a non-profit group of specially-trained, licensed rehabilitators. Over 6000 wild patients are treated there every year, from baby birds and injured birds to reptiles, mammals and as large as White-tailed deer fawns. Each requires a special diet and separation from other species for their recovery. The rehabbers go through training courses to learn the special diet and handling of the animals. The goal is always to release the animal back into the wild.
We encourage you to support this huge effort and help with a donation. Many of our customers who love birds and wildlife are already on their list of supporters. You can help out by giving a donation to them or purchasing something on their wishlist.
